Eelisa Byrd has just recently played Bridgette in the debut of Home is Where the Hair Is (Balance Art Center). Other works include lead in the short film Eden, Inc., Walter in Afterlife (American Theater of Actors), and the titular Cow in Cow: The Musical (The Green Room 42). She is an alumni of Sarah Lawrence College, and a graduate of the Atlantic Acting School Conservatory Program.
Mission Statement
I’m interested in work that celebrates the liberation of vulnerability, and displays even the ugly bits of humanity. I want to unsettle people. I want to create art that forces one to look within themselves and see in full view the parts that astound, move, and even frighten them.
